Description: This auction is for the Original Payment Record for Rights to COMPULSION by Meyer Levin to Daryl F Zanuck Productions for $100,000 The agreement was to pay $100,000 in ten installments of $1,000. Since this record shows payments through 5-15-69, with no notation for the final two payments, I am assuming that a more "modern" method of records was adopted at that time and this card was replaced by automated accounting methods. I am 100% certain that this record is authentic although I have no other documentation to go with the card and will let the card speak for itself. I had acquired a small oak file card box through family, long deceased, and found the payment records to The Agony and the Ecstasy as well as the payment record for "COMPULSION", wedged in the back of the file box. I have attached photos of the file box for additional information but box is not included. The box appears to have an inventory number for 20th Century Fox. This record has been kept for over forty years in a locked safe in a pet free, smoke free home. Cards will be shipped Priority Mail Insured. I will pay the shipping and insurance fees.
