Description: This auction is for a wonderful Art Nouveau perfume holder or casket, French Palais Royal opaline rose glass (hinged egg shaped) held by a gorgeous gold tone (probably brass of some type), art nouveau iris metal frame. The egg is enameled and has the original finial (which does turn a little bit, so it is loose). The hinge works perfectly and the stand is exquisitely made. The egg is a rose opaline art glass with a flower enameled on the top front. There are no chips, cracks or damage that I can see anywhere. This egg is original to the frame. The entire thing is 6 1/2" in height and about 4 1/4" across. Beautiful antique perfume "egg"!
