Born in the village. Voronin residents of Cherkasy region. He worked as a graphic designer at the Cherkasy Azot Association, then at the Cherkasy Art Advertising Plant. He worked on monumental projects in Russia and returned to Ukraine (1986). Participates in group (1986) and personal (1997) exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Member of the National Artistic Union of Artists (1990), National Prize of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko (2010), Honored Artist of Ukraine (2004), People's Artist of Ukraine (2016). The artist’s works are stored in the National Art Museum, the exhibition directorates of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine and the National Agricultural University. Works in collaboration with Evgeny Matveev in the art tandem BM Babak-Matveev (2014). Lives and works in Cherkassy, Ukraine.
