Description: Here we have a wonderful original antique EDWARDIAN brass rise and fall adjustable table lamp. It has a weighted circular base. The support is finished with a lovely circle which incorporates a birds head. This in turn is held in a fist. The end of the thread which releases the scroll arm support has a lovely fanned detailing. The original opaque shade is also beautifully detailed. The approximate dimensions are : 25 inches / 63 cm high with the scroll arm at maximum height x 10 inches / 25.5 cm wide and the base is approximately 5 1/2 inches / 14 cm diameter CONDITION: The lamp is in nice condition as can be seen in the photographs, just age marks commensurate with age, but could be polished to shiny brass according to personal taste. There is a small indent to ball on which the scroll arm is support see close up photograph. We have taken detailed photographs from every side to allow you to view for yourself. PLEASE NOTE, although as can be seen from the photographs the lamp is in full working order, to comply with current statutory requirement we always advise that this item is checked and installed by a qualified electrician before use and the plug has been removed.
