Originally published in 1936, this is the story of the Donner Party who set out in 1846 for California. They went over a new route at the behest of their guide and when the finally reached the Sierra, it was late and they were trapped in the snow. This edition has accounts from some of the survivors and is based off the diaries of the survivors and other contemporary documents. The book itself is in very good condition. There is wear along the base of the cover (please see photos), otherwise it is intact and unmarked.
