Description: Clean tight copy of Tennessee Williams collection of 11 short stories, including Night of the Iguana and The Yellow Bird. 1948 First printing. Limited Edition of 1500 unnumbered copies. 210 pages published by New Directions in a Very Good slipcase with some wear on front corners - see photo. Cloth-backed blue and white decorated boards. Gilt spine lettering and decoration. This book was donated by the late Doug Dannay, Ellery Queen's (Frederick Dannay) son. On the front endpaper are two names used by Ellery Queen, written in ink. "Barnaby Ross" and Ellery Queen" were series of Frederick Dannay's mystery series. Don't know how they came to be there, but seems to be because of the Queen connection to our donor. All proceeds benefit Lancaster PA Public Library.
