Description: OMEGA Flightmaster Chronograph 145.013 cal. 910 hand winding, serviced, mens vintage watch from 1970 I have for sale this vintage Omega Flightmaster wristwatch with ref. 145.013, which is the first of three versions of Omega's first Chronograph GMT. Manufactured in 1970, it reached the peak of global interest in aviation as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin successfully completed moonwalks during the Apollo 11 mission. One of Omega's largest vintage models (with a case width of 43mm) , the Flightmaster was used extensively by professional pilots such as the British Airways Concorde crew. The main dial -(slightly patinated, not repainted)- is a standard chronograph with three sub dials displaying a day/night indicator and two registers for recording minutes and hours. The elegantly curved stainless steel case has colour coded crowns to the left side for adjusting the secondary hour hand, along with rotating the inner bezel, which can also be used to measure time elapsed by lining the triangular marker up with either the minute or either one of the hour hands. (The three seconds hands are repainted)The Flightmaster also has a 12-hour GMT complication, with the hand moving independently and set through the auxiliary crown, located at 10 o’clock on the case. The case and bracelet (1162/172) have been polished in the past, however there are a few tiny signs, which can be seen in the pictures. The total circumference of the watch and bracelet is 20.4 cm or 8 inches. The case back (also polished) features an engraved DC-8 super 61 Jet aeroplane along with the word ‘'Flightmaster’' and the instantly recognisable Omega symbol.All crowns and pushers are original in excellent condition.The mineral domed glass is original in excellent condition.The hand winding cal. 910 is in Excellent condition, has been serviced 2 years ago and works strong with great accuracy.You will receive the watch in a very rare vintage Omega burgundy leather box.Case dimensions: left to right 43mm (excluding the crown), up to down 52.50mm and between lugs 22mm.
