Drawer seems to open and close reasonably. Drawer features a label holder above the handle to label the contents of the drawer. Drawer cabinet has a body which measures approx 9-1/2" width x 16-1/8" depth, (17" with Handle) x 7-1/8" height overall. With the Inside of drawer measuring approx 8-1/4" width, open back with adjustible sliding center stop bracket. The original application of use was for storing large index filing cards so the drawer features an adjustable sliding partition which moves forward and back and keeps the index cards pressed together, upright and closer towards the front. These drawers can also be used for tools, tooling, metal stock materials, boxes of fasteners and hardware as these are a sturdy metal construction. Great utility steel cabinet for storage.
