Description: I am going with the 1930s because of the youthful look of Ms. Winton and the not-over-40 look of Hatton. I found matches like these on line and those were definitely Cuban. These, I am not so sure about. I believe these may be from Spain. Any which way, they are historic and tell us a lot about the allure of Hollywood even 100 years ago. The box is full of brown tipped matches and the fabric pull is intact. There is some writing on top of Janes chest which I believe reads No. 1. There are some words printed on the box. One side reads: Acebo Simon Y S. en C.The other side reads: Santa Catalina 2 Cerro (sp?). Both of these phrases are mysterious to me. The box measures 2.5" X 1.75" X .5"
