Description: Beautiful vintage 10 inch diameter English Staffordshire transferware plate depicting scenes of Yellowstone National Park. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs although there is crazing. Old Faithful Geyser is in the center of the plate, with bear cubs, a mule deer fawn, the Lower Falls, and Morning Glory pool scenes around the rim. The back is marked in a banner: Souvenir of Picturesque Yellowstone Park. Below that is "Old English Staffordshire Ware, Made In England" with the Adams crown mark and Jonroth England mark (Jonroth was a major importer of English pottery souvenir pieces in the first half of the last century). Below the marks is printed "Imported for Yellowstone Park Company, Yellowstone Park Wyoming". In trying to date the plate, I know that Adams produced souvenir plates between 1914 and 1940. I believe, this is one of the early ones. Please refer to the photos as they they part of the description. 27
