Elkin. The book features delicate full-color illustrations and accompanying piano sheet music for each rhyme, capturing the charm of classic Dutch nursery rhymes. This edition was published by Augener Ltd. in London, with an original dedication to Princess Juliana of the Netherlands. Condition: The book is in Good condition for its age Notes: - Some signs of wear on the covers, particularly along the edges, as seen in the photos. There is staining on the upper right front cover, as well. - There is a handwritten inscription on the front endpaper, dated “Christmas 1939.” - The binding remains intact though fragile - as to be expected, though certainly not about-to-fall-apart if the wind blows fragile, however, it should be handled with care. - The pages are mostly clean and in great shape with only some minor foxing and minimal small spot stains in a few earlier pages’ margins. Moderate foxing on the endpapers. - Illustrations remain vivid and colorful and all sheet music fully legible. Overall, this antique 1917 first edition hardcover from London is in good condition for its age.
