Description: This offering is for an antique mid 19th century turned wooden butter mold. The mold is made of maple and was most likely made by the Shakers. The unusual hershey kiss style design is simply outstanding, obviously the work of an extremely skilled turner. The mold measures app. 7" tall to the top of the knob and the base diameter is app. 4" The condition is as seen in our photo's. The surface appears to be original with appropriate patina and light wear. There are also two tight cracks in the bell as seen in our close-ups. We have owned the mold for about 20 years and the cracks have not moved during that period. The buyer will pay a fixed amount of $ 15.00 for Standard Mail and we will include delivery confirmation, tracking, at no additional cost.
