IT GOES THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS SHADE WHERE IT IS ATTACHED TO A CANDLE HOLDING TRAY. I TURNED THE PIECE 4 TIMES TO SHOW YOU ALL THE SIDES. THE MAIN COLOR IS COBALT BLUE LEADING TO A PARROT GREEN RIM w/STRIPES. THE GLASS IS DECORATED WITH MANY ROUND MILLEFIORI TYPE MOTIFS ARRANGED IN DIAGONAL ROWS. THE GLASS ARTIST’S SIGNATURE IS LOCATED ON THE INSIDE JUST BELOW THE TOP RIM. IT IS UPSIDE DOWN AND IS TOO ILLEGIBLE FOR ME TO DECIPHER. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO PHOTOGRAPH SO I TOOK THE PICTURE ON BOTH A WHITE AND A BLACK BACKGROUND TO PROVIDE THE BEST IMPRESSION. THE WHITE PLASTIC BASE SHOWS THE NUT & SCREW THAT HOLDS THE PIECE TOGETHER. THE PRINTED MARKS OGGETTI MOD B1300 MADE IN ITALY I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING REMOTELY SIMILAR TO THIS ITEM SO PERHAPS IT IS VERY RARE. I HOPE A KNOWLEDGEABLE COLLECTOR OR DEALER CAN PROVIDE THE ARTIST’S NAME. I AM ALWAYS VERY GRATEFUL TO RECEIVE MISSING INFORMATION. THE CONDITION: The overall condition is very good. ●●●Please allow the photos to guide you as they are the lion’s share of this description.●●● This is what I see to describe: the glass looks great with no issues; the candle tray inside may have had a disc that covered the hole; there is a stain inside the edge; the top of the base has a scratch; the bottom has some label residue and is missing additional table protector pads [easily replaced]. Otherwise I do not see anything of serious consequence to describe. ●●●I hope I have not missed anything. If I did, it was surely minor and 100% unintentional.●●● Just about 99% of the collectibles I offer are vintage/pre-owned and may show a small amount of handling.
