Nice kit but lacks finished quality Rated by petemcl on August 12, 2020 Summary: This kit does have all the parts necessary to convert an 8ba from bolts to studs. But the threads have burrs like the manufacturing tooling was not maintained properly or the threading process was pushed too fast. It isnt terrible but every stud needs to be dressed before it can be used. Finally what they do not tell you is that you cannot put the studs in place first if you are working with the engine in the truck. You either have to remove the steering column, battery box and distributor first or install the studs after the heads are in place. That is a little tricky holding the head gaskets in the right position. I used brass drift pins at either end of the head. Then the studs need to be turned into place using a bolt with two nuts.
