Description: Oberheim OB-SX Vintage 80's Analogue Polyphonic Preset Synthesiser The Oberheim OB-SX is a 6-voice analog synthesiser that was released between 1980 and 1983. It was designed as a more compact and durable version of the Oberheim OB-X, specifically for live performance. It shares the same analog circuitry as the OB-X, using 2 VCOs per voice and featuring voltage-controlled filters (VCF) and amplifiers (VCA). However, some features were simplified, such as preset sounds stored in ROM instead of patch memory and fewer real-time controls. The OB-SX was famously loved and used by Prince. It was features in his music videos and live on stage. Condition:This is a used unit. Physically this unit is in good condition for a synth of this age. It shows some general marks, nicks as well as some larger scratches and scuffs on the faceplate and wooden side panels. Please see all photos. Overall, this is still a nice synthesiser. This unit is the 6 voice version with 56 preset sounds. This OB-SX has had a major service. This included refurbishing and recapping the the power supply, the key contacts were cleaned and refurbished and the unit was calibrated to factory specifications. This unit is 100% functional. All functions are working as they should. It has no faults to note. This unit is 90-260V. This means it can be used anywhere in the world with a flick of a switch on the back. **You MUST ensure the switch is set to the correct position for your country before powering on this unit** This unit uses an IEC to power on. An IEC cable will only be included for Australian and New Zealand buyers. This beauty looks and sounds great! This unit will have a one year back to base warranty. The customer is responsible for getting the unit to and from Lofi Music. Repairs will be free of charge. Please note the warranty does not cover drops, spills or misuse.
