Description: Vintage Oil on Canvas Framed Painting After " Francois Boucher " This painting is an early copy of the painting of " The Blond Odalisque " by French Artist Francois Boucher , 1703 - 1770 The Young woman was Marie Louise O'Murphy the Mistress of King Louis XV of France This was painted in 1934 ,, looking at the Signature it looks like maybe G. Burk The Painting is almost a True Antique being almost 100 years old And the painting shows its age ,,,, It has Craquelure ,, " Cracking " throughout thepainting ,,, There e isn't any missing paint or any areas that look like it may crack off ,,, it all seems secure ,,, It does have some minor paint flecking which is common with any old oil painting . The Canvas is Solid and don't have any tears It could use a cleaning and revarnishing ,,, The varnish has yellowed over the yearsas is common ,,, So the painting is somewhat darker than my pictures and thats becauseof the bright lights i'm using The Frame is an Elaborate Wood and Plaster Frame and is 3 inches thick from front to back Its in Good Condition but will need some work ,,,, The Ornate Plaster part of the Frame has No Damage ,, it does have age cracks but these are to be ignored ,,They show the age of the frame The Frame doesn't have any defects or cracks in the wood and the joints are tight It does show some handling marks ,,, this is on the thin outside front trim piece,,, This is also plaster coated and has a few small nicks ,,, These can be fixed easily ,,, Most hardware stores sell Water Based Wood Filler and these work really good and mate well with the plaster ,,,,,These Nicks are on the small front trim piece thatis separate from the ornate part of the frame ,,, So with some wood filler and Gold Paint the frame would easily came back to life It has New Mounting Hardware and Clips The Frame Measures 26 inches X 22 The Painting is 20 X 16 The Frame is heavy I'm pricing shipping at $100 ,, Depending on your Zip code i may beable to ship it for less ,, So if your interested in the painting contactme with your zipcode and i'll give you a price quote on the shipping cost Thanks for Looking .
