Description: This listing is for ( 1 ) Red Lion BODY as shown in Near Mint Condition. USE THIS BODY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR BROKEN ONE CHEAP! This lion came originally with the 1981 Japan GB36 Y&K Set, Original GO LION D Set or Masterpiece Sets. This lion BODY ONLY is BRAND NEW OLD STOCK You'll receive exactly what you see. ( 1 ) Red Voltron Lion BODY This is your chance to get a MINT BODY! This head is likely 1985 denoting early TOEI. This is a Taiwan Lion which was originally TOEI B or TOEI D, when sent to the USA they were packaged in a Matchbox Box and affixed with Y&K stickers. We find these every now and again in our tertiary storage. This is a great piece and will fit ANY vintage set whether you are collecting any variant from 1981 to 1985 meaning the TOEI B or D, Matchbox, Vintage Masterpiece, GB36 or Y&K set. NOTE : This is a new old stock lion but the joints have never been used or played with, as a result it will be hard to move the joints at first so be gentle! (We use some white lithum grease on a qtip to work the joints) When you insert this into your vintage black lion, sometimes you will have a black lion with corroded clip springs, if you are having difficulty removing the green lion, simply open the arm trap door on your black lion, you will see the clip there that holds the green lion attached to the black, simply use a small flat screwdriver to gently expand the clip to release the red lion. You can remove the black lion clips and spray them with wd40 and soak them in white lithium grease overnight to resolve this issue. Just make sure you wipe them clean before you place them back into the black lion. Are you using this lion for parts! This piece functions as it should and is 100%! Enjoy it! ABOUT US : We have been selling Original Voltron Accessories on Ebay since Ebay's Inception, early on we used to sell pallets of these in retail, we don't have many lions left (although we do find some in storage every now again) but we have plenty of NEW OLD STOCK ACCESSORIES. We used to receive the TOEI B and D sets and sticker them with the Y&K silver stickers which were then packaged into Matchbox boxes which were then distributed for sale at Kaybee toy stores.
