Description: N.O.S. Bill Norman SNATRIX Unopened 10 pk. BLUE The late Dr. Loren Hill was responsible for a surprising number of "inventions" over the years pertaining to bass fishing. One that I was reminded of recently was the "Snatrix," likely the first soft plastic snake replica to hit the market. It looks like he created this one around 1975, but it is probably best known after the idea was sold off to, and marketed by, Bill Norman Lures. A study of ponds supposedly supported the idea that at certain times of the year, bass likely fed heavily on young watersnakes. Dr. Hill made the original mold out of clay, and reports suggest that sales of the bait via Norman's in the mid to late 1980s reached $8-$9 million. See photos for particulars.
