The part number is 1116551 (D1407) , it is in group # 2.188 of the GM parts catalogs . It is unused and has been on my warehouse shelf since it was purchased from GM. The part is stamped DR on the switch. This switch does not have a start position. The Chevrolet uses a push button or foot starter. The Buick uses a foot starter in conjunction with the carburetor. According to GM It fits: 1949-1958 BUICK, 1949-1950 CHEVROLET CAR, 1948-1953 CHEVROLET TRUCK The part number may have been later superseded to fit other models, but this is the only correct application in the original listings.
