Description: Here for your consideration is a VERY nice antique Northwood Glass Company or Hobbs-Brockunier Company chrysanthemum base swirl pressed glass UV reactive toothpick holder. Circa 1893. The top is ground and polished. There is a spot on the top which may be a chip/nick (see pictures). Size is 2-1/16 inches high by 2 inches at the widest point. Diameter across the top is 1-3/16 inches. Very nice piece. I had this described as Northwood when I first listed it, but the lack of the Northwood 'N' mark had me questioning if it is indeed Northwood. After visiting a glass museum showcasing many samples of Northwood Glass and Hobbs-Brockunier, I am more inclined to think this item is more likely to be Hobbs-Brockunier opalescent glass.
