Description: Northwood Carnival Glass Wishbone 3-Footed Ruffled Bowl, Amethyst/Purple Beautiful eight-ruffled bowl with a sawtooth edge and three scroll feet. The design features four large exotic looking orchids with four smaller orchids beneath crossed "wishbone" shapes. There is also a chrysanthemum surrounded by a textured ring in the center. The back pattern is called Ruffles and Rings. Purple base glass with a lovely gold/multicolor iridescence. Classic era carnival glass, the pattern was produced from 1911-1915.Condition: No chips or cracks. Iridescence is in excellent condition, with just a few very tiny spots of wear near the rim. Factory straw/shear marks near the rim all the way around the bowl. Marks: Northwood underlined N in a circle. Dimensions: 8 1/2" at widest point, 2 7/8" high. Color Note: Some pictures are taken with a black background to highlight how the color of the iridescence of carnival glass can change in appearance depending on background color. Both the white and black background photos were taken under the same lighting, only the background color was changed.
