Description: Really nice set of four salad plates by Noritake (Morimura Brothers). This 175 pattern, also known as "White and Gold" and "Christmas Ball" , was in production since 1906 and is considered to be the longest running and most popular pattern of Noritake china. It features 24 kt gold encrusted scrolls and a "Christmas ornament shape" design on a creamy ivory band and white porcelain body. It also features gilded bead work (moriage) within the design and along the rims for a truly ornate appearance. These plates measure 7 5/8" in diameter. Some are marked with the blue Maruki (tree crest) mark with "Hand Painted" and NIPPON which dates them to the 1906-1921 period, while some are marked with the green wreath and M, Japan, which dates them to the 1921-1941 period. All plates are in very nice pre-owned condition with No chips, cracks or loss of gold. That being said....Please keep in mind that you are buying an antique/vintage piece that will rarely be in perfect condition. I do my best to photograph and describe things but may sometimes miss something. If you have any questions before buying, or need more information, please contact us.
