Description: Nikon FM - 35mm Film Camera Body Serial Number: 2404807 This camera is currently NOT working. There is an issue with the film advance and possibly the shutter. When I received the camera it was locked up - film advance and shutter were frozen. By manipulating the motor drive coupler on the bottom of the camera, I was able to get the shutter to fire and I could advance the film. I had to repeat the process for every frame - clearly a problem. At present, the camera is still “locked up” but it seems like with some random manipulation of the dials, buttons and levers, on occasion the camera will fire. I checked all the common issues online and I’m fairly certain that this is not a simple fix. There is no guarantee regarding how the camera will behave for the next owner - its performance is erratic at best. The camera is in good cosmetic condition with some rub marks on the corners but no dents or dings. No abuse or damage. When I was able to fire the shutter, it appeared/sounded accurate at all speeds. The battery compartment is clean and the light meter is getting power. (Batteries not included.) I did not test the accuracy of the meter because I never got past the shutter and film advance issues but it appears to be working.
