Description: Lovely and unique antique edition of Night Scenes of the Bible by Rev. Daniel March. I believe this is a first American edition published in 1869. Beautiful 19th century leather binding with gold type. Illustrated with black & white engravings, some by Gustave Dore and Samuel Sartain. Very rare book. In fair antique condition overall with definite signs of wear and age. Damage to the cover with some stains and marks and patches of leather missing on the spine. Foxing through out the text especially the tissue used to protect the prints. Also a newspaper clipping left in the book caused a stain. Please see all photos. The cover could be repaired and imo would be worth the investment. Will be sent fully insured via Priority Mail.
