Description: Wonderful example of Nicole Sayre's Halloween designs, this time in a very large diorama from 2004 which will make a fantastic centerpiece for any All Hallows' Eve display/table decoration. Measuring a large 11.75” W X 4.5” D X 14.25” H this shadow box has it all...a great Halloween poem as the backdrop for a special Halloween Queen figure. The opening is bordered by white accents with a large glittered silver star above. 'A Merry Halloween' banner is attached to the front. Our Halloween queen carries a black star wand in one hand and a pumpkin in the other. Perhaps she turned someone into a frog with her wand... only she knows for sure! Our queen is beautifully crafted wearing a crepe paper purple Shakespearean collar, a brilliant yellow polka dotted overcoat that is held closed by a crepe paper ruffled, glittered flower, and a pumpkin colored striped skirt, with purple tights and black boots. She's quite the charmer and may cast a spell over you if you're not careful. Condition is very good for age but there are some visible signs of wear (likely storage issues) with some color loss on sides and back - but very minor and they add to the vintage appeal of this rare item. There is slight bend to the banner on front but overall it too is in good condition. A NOT TO BE MISSED Diorama by the great folk artist Nicole Sayre Backdrop POEM reads: "On Hallows' Eve the goblins dance. They turn and sway and then they prance. They sing and chant a merry tune and hoot and howl to the moon. It's Hallows' Eve the darkest night. Let's go give someone an eerie fright. They're the spookiest things I've ever seen but they only come out on Halloween!
