Description: This is an antique Chinese late Qing carved and painted wooden teapot holder / basket with gilt decoration and two metal bands, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The basket is nicely carved and is well painted with alternating scenes of figures working outdoors and landscapes. The basket measures approximately 11 1/2" (29.2 cm) high x 9 1/2" (24.1 cm) wide, and is in very good antique condition, with some surface wear commensurate with age. A bit of lacquer loss, with light restoration on one of the handles and the locking handle. Ships insured with FedEx.
