Description: Here is a nice vintage late 1980's to early 1990's made in Japan Wilson A2000-XXL baseball glove for a Right-Hand thrower and thus fits on the left hand. The glove would be best for outfielders. The glove has an open "H" web. The XXL model glove was first made in Japan in 1985 and made into the early 1990's. The mitt was made in Japan and is adult sized measuring 12.5" long through the pocket. Can be used for baseball or softball and is actually stamped "Softball Size". Stamped on the front of the glove is the Wilson A2000 circle logo in the palm, Grip-Tite Pocket, Snap Action and Wilson. On the back is stamped "The A2000"-XXL, Nylon Stitched, "The A2000", Softball Size and Japan. Also a neat little Wilson "W" logo stamped on the one end of the thumb strap. There is no owner's ink on the glove. The stamping on the front and back is all readable. There is a nice original black and yellow patch sewn on the back of the thumb. Glove is broken in. The interior and exterior leather is still very soft on this mitt. Interior leather is very soft and smooth with no chafing on it. The lacing appears original and intact with light wear here and there. The leather piping is soft with light wear. The thumb and pinky loops are functional and useable. The glove feels great on the hand. There is a light stain just above the thumb loop which is square shaped (maybe from a price tag?). When the glove lays flat the thumb side has had lots of the tan color faded away, I'm assuming by being out in the sun. The backside and the interior leather has more tan color to it. I have other gloves and mitts on eBay now as auctions and/or Buy it Now, and I like to combine shipping whenever possible.
