Description: Nice! National NC-88 Receiver Scanner Shortwave CW AM Radio, 1950s Vintage I'm selling my grandpas radio equipment to help pay for his medical bills. The radio powers on, lights up and I was able to get an AM radio station without connecting an external antenna. I was very surprised! I'm not certain the radio works as intended, but will be happy to run some tests if you ask nicely. There is a minor dent on the bottom cover and a scratch on the top cover. I haven't tested any of the external connections. See photos. Otherwise this radio is in very nice condition for it's age. There is a video of a young girl on You tube saying it's her favorite radio! This vintage National NC-88 Shortwave Receiver Radio is a great find for any amateur radio enthusiast. With its classic design and sturdy construction, this base station is built to last. It supports multiple modes including CW, AM, and more. The radio is in good working order and has been recently tested. Heavy on the bottom back corner, but seems to be in working order. The NC-88 is a great addition to any ham radio receiver collection. It covers multiple bands including SW, AM, and more. With its brand name and model number, this radio is sure to impress any collector. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this piece of radio history. I will upgrade to faster USPS, FedEx or UPS shipping if similarly priced.
