Nice Lionel Original Prewar #400E Loco and Tender in Black

Description: Here is a nice original example of this large and desirable prewar Lionel standard gauge loco. Includes 4-4-4 #400E Loco, and 12-wheel #400T Tender, both in black with brass trim and plates. Both are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. They both are in very nice condition showing light wear with a few small nicks and scratches only, as seen. The loco does have some slight crazing to the paint, primarily to the cab roof, as seen. The great thing about this loco is that it is entirely 100% original. The frame, steam chests, boiler front, air tanks, and wheels are all original! The frame is excellent, and not stretched at all, as evident by the boiler front fitting perfect. The front and real trailing wheels have some chips as seen. The drive wheels are in good condition and they turn freely and easily by hand. When tested here the loco did turn on, and the lights worked. The motor did engage, but the wheels would need to be replaced in order for the loco to track. Please examine photos as they are the best description. Great original example perfect for the collector, do not miss it! There is no mechanical warranty guarantee on any of the motors or locos sold.
