Description: For sale is a large size 18th or early 19th century turned Maple wood Serving BOWL/dough bowl. You can find dense turning rings on both the exterior and the interior of the bowl, which is a good indication of early turned woodwork. The top rim naturally waves, but no cracks or hairlines are detected. It looks and feels like a real primitive kitchen ware, not a reproduction for display purpose. It is large in size. It measures 15” in diameter at the top rim (slightly off round by design), and 4” tall. Excellent condition! It is clean and dry, no odor, would display well on a large farm table at your home.
