Description: The Cathedral stamps of 1922 were printed using the flat press technology. Similar to the Washington Franklins of 1914 in the USA, the Cathedral dies were reproduced and used on a rotary press in 1924/1927/1929. Therefore, these major varieties not listed by the scott catalog are completely different than the flat press issue of 1922. A short note note in scott says mentions that these "were issued in slightly large size". (Perhaps they could also consolidate the washington franklin listings and add the same note, simplifying their catalog (LOL!!). The Maxwell specialized catalog has listings for both the 1922 (flat) and later (rotary) printings. Track Page Views With Auctiva's FREE Counter
