These NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs are perfect for your Subaru WRX EJ205 if you've had an ECU reflash/tune, full exhaust, bolt-ons, etc. These are intended for cars making approximately 100+ horsepower more than stock. If you are unsure if you will need One Step Colder Spark Plugs, you should consult with your tuner first. These spark plugs are heat range 7 whereas the factory WRX EJ205 spark plugs are heat range 6. A higher heat range number does not improve engine performance by itself, it increases the spark plugs ability to dissipate heat. Iridium plugs are able to use larger gap setting with less voltage. Some customers choose to re-gap these plugs to correct misfiring or tune for optimal spark -- do so at your own risk -- a slide-type plug gapper can damage the fragile iridium tip.
