Printed by the American Bank Note Company of New York, on relatively heavy weight, white wove paper with horizontal mesh, white (almost colorless) gum. This very popular issue includes some of the finest engraved stamps ever produced, anywhere. Very good color and crisp appearance, well centered within balanced margins. Approximately 40% of original gum disturbed by previous hinging, hinge remnant. Excellent fault-free example of this iconic Newfoundland stamp Images should provide all the information necessary to make a reasonably intelligent bid on this lot.
