(Montreal) re-issue of 1896, engraved, no watermark, perf. 12.0x12.0. Printed on stout, crisp, white wove paper with horizontal mesh. Mint, never-hinged original gum (very scarce thus). Sound, fault-free example of this iconic Newfoundland stamp. Images should provide all the information necessary to make a reasonably intelligent bid on this lot.
