Description: This is a New York State 1880's Shako Dress Helmet Infantry Plate. there are also 2 artillery buttons picturing crossed cannons.See the photo's for condition. One photo was with flash, the other natural room light. This is a New old stock Helmet plate manufactured in the 1880's, but I am listing it as used because of the considerable storage age and staining over 140 years. The shako plate, however is in great condition for its age. It would look great mounted on a Shako Helmet, or as part of an Indian war display. The Shako helmet plate is mounted on a cardboard with the buttons, and the cardboard shows considerable storage damage. Priced very reasonably for such a rare and historic item.
