Description: New & Unsmoked Ser Jacopo L1 Walnut Bent Egg Smooth Grain This Ser Jacopo pipe is new and unsmoked. This is a beautiful quarter bent Apple which has a flat bottom so it will stand in place. It could easily be the centerpiece in a showcase. While not stamped Maxima, it could have been as it's certainly a good sized pipe. pipe which defies easy description. It is smooth throughout with its nomenclature on either side of the shank. The tobacco chamber has been left natural…enjoy the view. The line of the shank through the handcut stem help to make this quite a lovely piece. In sum,a very nice pipe with great style. It's not too big, but it certainly isn't small…it's just right! The L1 designation indicates the grade of the pipe and does not specify its color. In the Ser Jacopo range it sits below the L2 and above the L/Rosso Inglese. Generally most L1 pipes have what we've come to call a smooth walnut, but in fact it is usually not as brown as walnut and is back stained to highlight its grain. There's L1, L2 and then into the Gem Series pipes in the Ser Jacopo range.
