Description: New Orleans Jazzfest Poster, Numbered Edition (4467/10,000)-MINT CONDITION Arguably the funkiest and most eclectic of the entire Jazzfest collection, which is unsurprising coming from “The Picasso of Zydeco,” Francis X. Pavy. Perfect for anyone who embraces NOLA’s unique culture and weirdness or just wants an excellent conversation piece for the wall. While 10,000 were produced, there’s no way of knowing how many survived Hurricane Katrina, making it more rare than its modern counterparts. Poster has been stored flat and out of the sun, never framed, and is in perfect condition. Watermarked/stamped by the printer for authenticity. Art4Now, the official producers of all Jazzfest posters, have it listed at $450, though it’s been sold out for two decades so its actual value may be higher. The absolute perfect specimen for the true collector. I already have one in my personal collection so I’m willing to let it go below market so I can put it toward posters I haven’t collected yet. 10% of this sale will go to the New Orleans Musicians’ Assistance Foundation to support local artists, some of whom could even end up on future posters.
