Description: 1936 Japan Ice Hockey Olympic Team Back in 1936 the Winter Olympics were held in Germany which showcased National Teams from all around the world competing in various sports including Ice Hockey. However 1936 would be a banner year for Hockey historians and Goalie fans alike when the Japanese team goaltender Teiji Honma wore a mask in on-ice international competition for the first time. At the time it caused quite a stir and he even had photo ops with him wearing the wire mask he used. In celebration of this historic moment in Hockey history this concept design was created using that original black and white photo and referencing Japan's other team jerseys from those same games for color and accuracy. Those original sweaters were a light shade of blue like their counterparts but also used the red from the Japanese flag in the sleeves. Together with the embroidered tackle twill crest sewn on front this beautifully high-quality constructed jersey will not disappoint. Double loop-stitched seams, double layered shoulder yokes and elbow patches make it a nice heavy feeling jersey.
