The original TYLER is an active 2CH crossover/signal splitter that has refined the tone of many bass/guitar players' pedal boards around the world. This TYLER DELUXE was born as a more advanced, versatile and flexible product with feedback from TYLER users. Both the high-pass and low-pass filters have a roll-off of 12 dB/oct and feature variable cut-offs from 20 Hz to 3 kHz. Other features have been upgraded from the ground up, and the noise floor has also been improved. ■ Elimination of ground loops The original TYLER was also used as a high-performance AB/Y box, which sometimes caused ground loops, but this TYLER DELUXE does not. On the DELUXE, the two SEND terminals are connected by a TRIAD Magnetics transformer to avoid ground loops and at the same time to provide warm saturation (if the internal slide switch floats the ground). Also, for all situations and pedals, both loops each have a phase reverse switch (+/-) to cancel unwanted phase. ■ Features ●Equipped with a CLEAN blend knob, which is important for sound clarity. ● The MAIN PHASE switch can fix the phase of the main signal regardless of whether there is a loop or not. ●The LP-CUT and HP-CUT switches cut the low-pass and high-pass signals respectively when the loop is released. ●Relay-type soft switches, expanded headroom for input signals, low-noise operational amplifiers, etc., provide excellent sound quality and ease of use. ■Usage example Here are some usage examples. Add distortion while keeping low frequencies If you're a bassist, you want to keep the low end while using fuzz and drive pedals. Simply plug your distortion pedal into the high pass loop, adjust the HIGH PASS and LOW PASS knobs, set the ratio of the two with the MIX knob, and turn it ON with the HP LOOP footswitch. Adding different effects to low and high frequencies Insert a gorgeous phaser in the low range and a beautiful shimmering delay in the high range to create the sound of two guitars playing at the same time. Mix modulation and distortion for punchy sound from a single amp. TYLER DELUXE is a secret weapon that supports sound creation. ■ Control LOW PASS Sets the cutoff frequency of the low pass filter (3 kHz to 20 Hz). HIGH PASS Sets the cutoff frequency of the high pass filter (3 kHz to 20 Hz). MIX Sets the mix of lowpass and highpass. Fully left for LP only | half at center | fully right for HP only. LEVEL is the output level. You can boost up to 12 dB. CLEAN Blend dry sounds. LP CUT switch Lowering it cuts the low-pass signal when the loop is released. HP CUT switch Lowering it cuts the high-pass signal when the loop is released. LP PHASE switch Switches the phase of the lowpass loop. HP PHASE switch Switches the phase of the high pass loop.
