New England Lawrence Covered Sugar, Antique Flint Glass c1868 Bulls Eye EAPG 9"

Description: • New England Glass Co (nearly identical pieces were produced by multiple makers)• Lawrence; aka Bull's Eye• Covered Sugar• Crystal; Clear• Antique Flint, Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) c. 1868• Measurements: 9" high to the finale, 5 3/4" high to the rim, 4 3/4" outer diameter and 4 1/4" rim diameter• Weight, prepackaged: 2 lbs 3.7 oz • Condition: The base has a succession of chips on the top edge covering a total of 1 1/4" as seen in the photos. The lid flange has several chips. The step below the finale has a large flat chip (which is actually easy to miss). The finale has a small (3/16") chip on the underside of one corner. The bulls eye pattern on the lid and base have no chips and only a handful of minor (less then 1/16") fleabites. There are no notable marks from use or storage. The base and rim have light wear as expected. There are no notable flaws in the glass. The glass is fantastically clear and free of cloudiness with a light green glow under UV light. Both the lid and bowl have amazing bell-like resonance. The piece displays nicely and is rarely found with the original lid. • Pictures are of the item(s) you will receive.
