Description: This Emerald Glass Fire Pit is made from recycled glass and stainless steel construction. It is as much art as it is functional. Our own original custom design combines the beauty of glass and fire in a way that has never been done before. Because of the recycled nature of the glass and its fluctuating availability, each unit will be slightly different from the last. The approximate size is 24" x 24" x 14". There are sliding handles that help with positioning and act as legs when sliding back into position under the fire pit. This unit is natural gas but could also be made for propane. This unit has push-button electronic ignition for easy starting. The burner and control system is CSA Certified for outdoor use. With the all stainless steel and glass construction, there is little need to worry about corrosion. The fire pit weights about 260 lbs. The unit pictured is the unit you will get. It is made in the USA by local artisans.The recycled glass comes from a sister company that produces tons of clean scrap glass that the owner and designer Kent Keating hated to trough in the landfill. After purchasing the glass company two years ago, it was his mission to find another use for the waste glass. After a number of prototypes, this design of the Emerald Glass Fire Pit emerged as a winner. But it will not stop with this design. There are other creations in the works that will be released soon to the public. Mr. Keating has worked all his life in creative entrepreneurial endeavors. His earned and self-proclaimed titled of Artist Engineer.
