It was introduced in 1987 by the National Organization, but did not have any guidelines except that the adult must be currently active. As a result, I’ve seen it used for 10 YEARS OF SERVICE to: Girl Scout Camps – especially Day Camps, Girl Scout Association Team members, Special Event Coordinators, special Committee members, and anything else that a group of Girl Scout volunteers agree is worthy of recognition. It is worn with pride by Adult Girl Scouts. This style has been replaced with a similar pin in green, so it can no longer be purchased in this style.
