They were made by New Bright exclusively for Dillards and have long been out of production. They are fully plug-in compatible with the entire Holiday Express series. Since these bear versions were sold in very limited numbers, they are hard to find and very collectible.This is a great way to get different animated characters (bears) on your trains and also get the 2nd Santa off of your train: If you already have the Santa's Mailbox car, why also have a big Santa on the engine also? This very collectible Dillards bears engine is the perfect solution. BRIGHT WHITE BEARS! Some people store these on a self in the sunlight and the bears turn yellow, yuck! Good smooth running engine, no jerky motions or hesitations. This listing is for the Locomotive Engine only. No other cars, track or controller etc. A perfect addition or replacement to your existing set.Fully plug-in compatible with the entire single-wire Holiday Express train line up (380 single-wire, 383, 384, 385, 386 & 387 series). Does not work with the 2-wire 380 series trains (meaning two separate wires that plug in-between the tender and locomotive). The delicate cattle grate will be removed for protection during shipping. It is simply attached with 2 screws. This engine has been test run for proper working operation.
