Description: Used Neocharge Smart Splitter for charging EVs. Plugs into a NEMA 14-30 outlet, commonly used for dryers or other large appliances. This splitter has two NEMA 14-30 outlets on it which allow you to connect two 240V devices at the same time. When both devices are trying to pull full power at the same time, the smart splitter will turn off the Secondary outlet and allow the device on the Primary outlet to run. This allows you to use one outlet for two uses without worry. Example: connect your EV charger to the Secondary outlet and your dryer to the Primary outlet. Your EV will charge until your dryer turns on, at which point the smart splitter will turn off your EV charger until the dryer is done, then automatically turn back on the EV charger for maximum efficiency. May require additional adapters to use with your equipment. Requires installation for proper use. Neocharge provides instructions on their website for installation. If you are not confident in completing the installation, contact an electrician or other professional. Neocharge provides an app so you can remotely monitor the status of the smart splitter and energy use. Consult Neocharge's online instructions to setup the app, which requires connecting the smart splitter to WiFi. You may have to perform the factory reset procedure on the smart splitter to setup WiFi, however this is not required for normal usage of the smart splitter.
