Description: This is a needlepoint pillow featuring an image of a stemmed peony with four additional buds against a creamy ivory colored background on the front of the pillow. The backing is dark green velvet. The peony is evocative of a Pierre-Joseph Redouté renowned and iconic floral image. It's absolutely charming! On the other hand, some may say it's a cabbage rose. Either way, it's just lovely. The pillow measures 14 inches by 14 inches. A zippered closure on the back is situated about 3 inches from the bottom border of the pillow. The polyester pillow form can easily be removed if dry cleaning is necessary. There is some fading on the green velvet backing situated from the top border of the pillow to about 3 inches down. This is from sun exposure while the pillow was positioned in a chair. The fading does not detract from the front at all. This pillow was purchased by me about 25 years ago. Please look at ALL photos!
