We selected eight of the freshest NECCO Wafer rolls available (best by 2020) and packed them well-padded inside a glass jar. Each filled jar is treated in a dry heat pressure canning process* where the contents are sterilized and most of the oxygen is removed creating a long term shelf stable product. These Heirloom Jars will keep for a very long period if stored properly. To insure best long-term storage results avoid: sun light, very hot temperatures, repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and significant daily temperature changes. A dark basement shelf in a closed cabinet away from heat and AC is the best location in a typical house; though a closet shelf will serve nearly as well. I personally have kept similarly rolled mints for over 20 years** and they are still quite nice today. NECCO Wafers are fat and gluten free. Each roll has an assortment of eight flavors: lemon (yellow), lime (green), orange (orange), clove (purple), cinnamon (white), wintergreen [aka pepsin] (pink), licorice (black), and chocolate (brown).
