Description: Please see all the photos for a full visual description.Measures 31.5 inches by 32.5 inches.Hand spun wool.Thick saddle blanket for display or use. Will be shipped with insurance and require signature upon delivery.I am giving it a conservative estimate age of circa 1960s, this is based on the colors and material used for the tassels. It may be older, I am unsure. I have seen similar saddle blankets said to be from the 1930s but ultimately I am leaving it up to the buyer to determine. I tested a piece of a tassel and they are synthetic and I believe they are acrylic. The blanket is definitely handspun wool, and has all the design/loom features of a Navajo artesian rug. This beautiful and vintage hand spun wool Navajo saddle blanket is double sided and quite thick. It size is considered a "single-size" blanket. It's design features a open field with a Greek key trimmed pattern. Crafted by hand using traditional techniques. The dark gray, natural off-white, and teal colors create a stunning MCM pattern. Ornamented with handmade tassels (made from acrylic yarn). This piece was made in the United States by Navajo artisans and represents the rich Native American culture of the Southwest Indigenous people. The rug is in excellent condition and will make a great addition to any collection of Native American textiles. Its tribal affiliation is Navajo and it falls under the category of Rugs & Textiles (Navajo), 1935-Now, Native American: US, Cultures & Ethnicities, and Collectibles. Don't miss out on the chance to own this unique and special piece of art.We are happy to bundle/combine shipping to help you save money! To access this benefit, simply add two or more items from Marshall Mercantile Store to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout. If you have already checked out, please message us and we will try to accommodate your request if the shipping label for the item has not already been purchased, ideally within an hour of your prior purchase. How do we refund when shipping is combined? If you have purchased more than one shipping method (e.g., USPS Priority, USPS Ground, UPS), we will normally try to fit the items into the fastest shipping box. If this increases the shipping cost, we will downgrade to a slower shipping method. Once the bulk shipping label has been purchased, we will refund the remaining amount, rounding down to the nearest dollar. We usually ship in the late evening, so your partial refund may not appear until then.On rare occasions, shipping cannot be combined, and we reserve the right to decline this service. An example would be two highly breakable items that would be better protected in their own boxes, or if combining shipping does not save any money for the buyer. If you have any questions, please feel free to message us. Thank you for your purchase! We value your business and appreciate your support of small business owners like us!
