Description: Beautiful Natural Scotch Bonnet Sea Shell 3.47 inch x 2.0 inch, (Semicossi Granulata). This Shell weighs 1.8 oz. The metric measurements are 88 mm x 51 mm and weighs 51 grams. This is the more rare Scotch Bonnet sea shell that is smooth instead of ribbed. The color of the shell looks darker in some of the pictures that were taken in regular room light. The pictures with lighter color were taken with the shell under an LED shop light. The measurements were done with calipers. Most of the pictures of the shell on the ruler were for positioning the shell in different positions. There is an area on the shell, near the tail end of the opening, where the shell developed odd. There is a close up picture of the spot. I have had this shell in my personal collection over 30 years. This is the state sea shell of North Carolina. From a Smoke Free Pet Free Home.
