Beautiful small and lightweight medallion necklace featuring a geometric pattern with a fade of colours from magenta to turquoise.Made using traditional freehand beading techniques with strong synthetic thread. The beads are embroidered onto pellon then a faux leather backing is sewn onto the beadwork for firmness and support. The necklace chain is made with the same beads and thread used to embroider but they are sewn together using a bead loom to create a custom chain to go with the medallion. I am a Métis and First Nations-Cree artist in Canada. Every piece is handmade by embroidering seed beads onto pellon to form designs I draw out by hand and I handle all aspects of selling. Beadwork is something I find healing in as someone with a disability/chronic illness. My hope is that whoever ends up with my beadwork can enjoy the meticulous work and passion I put into every piece I make. I have a neurological condition that affects my dominant hand but the meditative process of creating these pieces helps me overcome it enough to still create beautiful art.A lot of love and care is put into every piece of beadwork I make.
