Description: Up for sale is a National Instruments (NI) PXI-8176 Embedded Controller unit. We installed this unit in a PXI chassis (not included) and powered it on. The unit did power on, and reported it has an Intel Pentium III CPU - S 1266MHz processor. The unit did report that the BIOS/CMOS settings were reset to default, likely indicating a bad or dead BIOS/CMOS battery. The unit does have a 512MB RAM module installed, and no hard drive is installed. We were able to get into the BIOS of the unit, but have not tested the unit further since we do not have any compatible software to install on this unit. We did notice the TRG port seems to be a bit bent/dented as well (see last picture). Because it has only been tested to power on and boot to BIOS and resets the BIOS/CMOS settings to default every power-up, we are listing the unit "For parts or not working" and it is being sold as-is with no returns accepted. Cosmetically, the unit does show some signs of use and wear such as scratches and scuff marks and dirt/dust. Includes the NI PXI-8176 unit only, no other parts are included.
